Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of flowers can you make?
Any you like! If you want realistic replicas of natural flowers, I can make them. If you want blue sunflowers and rainbow roses, I can make them. If you want flowers from your favourite video game, I can make them. If it’s something I haven’t made before, I can make a mock up or sample to make sure it’s to your liking. You can see pictures of previous events I have done in my gallery

How long do they last?
One of the advantages of paper flowers is that they can be kept after your event. Crepe paper is surprisingly durable! Some people are put off by the thought of paper as they see it as quite a delicate material but we’ve had bouquets thrown around, and young flower girls playing with them (even one that chewed them!) and they hold up very well. If you're planning to keep them on display after, keep them out of wet or humid environments, and not in direct sunlight as the natural dyes can fade.

What is Crepe Paper?
It’s a type of paper which has been tightly creased and crinkled up, which gives it an interesting texture, and makes it possible to stretch and curve the paper, which makes it excellent for making realistic petals and leaves. If you’ve not seen crepe paper in real life I can provide sample pieces to give you a feel of it.

How do I order?
Get in touch to discuss your requirements and I will explain the process and next steps. The usual process is that once we have discussed what you want, I will give you an estimate and breakdown of the cost. If you want to go ahead, I would usually take a 25% deposit around 2 – 3 months before your event to confirm the order, the remaining balance then can be paid at any point up to receiving the flowers.

Do you have a price list?
Not exactly! I have a price guide but due to the nature of the flowers being handmade, the price will vary depending on the complexity and size of the arrangements. This can work to your advantage if you have a specific budget as I can work within this budget and still make sure that your vision for your wedding flowers comes to life exactly how you want it.

Can I book you for my wedding date?
Of course! If your wedding date is still a way off, I can take a refundable £20 ‘Save the Date’ deposit, which means I’ll pop your wedding date in my diary and reserve a spot for you. I’d then get in touch closer to the time to confirm the details and discuss the designs.

I paid a ‘Save the Date’ deposit but I’ve changed my mind, can I have the money back?
I always hope that during the design process we can come up with something that you’ll love, but everyone is different and it’s completely fine to change your mind! I will refund the £20 deposit if you no longer require flowers for your event.

How much time do they take to make?
This varies dependent on the complexity of the flowers you have chosen, and the number of arrangements you require. I would usually ask for at least 2-3 months’ notice to ensure enough time to design and make everything to a high standard.

Can you make flowers to match my colour scheme / bridesmaids’ dresses / venue décor, etc?
Yes! Crepe paper comes in a wide variety of colours and shades, and if these are not an exact match to what you want, the paper can be shaded or painted to get it just right. Colour samples can be provided on request.
